Our T&Cs are changing! These terms and conditions (T&Cs) have been changed from those appearing before 24 October 2018. The changes will take effect on 7 November 2018. You can cancel your Woolworths Rewards membership before this date or any time after that (either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre) if you are an existing Woolworths Rewards member and you don’t wish to accept these changes. By continuing to participate in the Rewards program from 7 November, you are accepting these amended T&Cs. If you would like a copy of the T&Cs as they were prior to these changes, please ask the Rewards Contact Centre who will be glad to provide you with a copy.

  1. Who can become a Rewards member?

    You need to be an individual and have a current Australian residential address outside Tasmania - that's it!

  2. How do I register to become a Rewards member and does it cost anything?

    You can join (i.e. register as a member) in one of 3 ways:

    complete the online join process on the Rewards Website here; or
    call the Rewards Contact Centre; or
    consent to become a member as part of an application for a Woolworths branded insurance, telecommunications or financial services product.

    Joining is free and there are no fees to continue as a member.

  3. What if I don’t want to register myself as a member?

    Sorry - but in that case you may not be able to take advantage of any Member Benefits.

    If you have picked up a temporary card (i.e. a non-personalised Rewards membership card) in store but you have not registered that card within 6 months from the date that you first scanned the temporary card in store or shopped Online with that temporary card number added to your Online account (whichever occurs first), then we may cancel your unregistered temporary card. If we cancel your unregistered temporary card, any Member Benefits credited to the temporary card will also be cancelled.

    You cannot redeem any Woolworths Dollars accrued on an unregistered temporary card, nor can you opt into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points until you register that unregistered temporary card via the Rewards Website or Contact Centre.

  4. What are Points? And what are Woolworths Dollars?

    Points are the points that you earn by shopping at Woolworths Supermarkets, Woolworths Metro, woolworths.com.au, BWS, bws.com.au, BIG W, bigw.com.au, participating Caltex locations and Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets throughout Australia (excluding Tasmania). These are the Earn Businesses also set out in paragraph 5 below.

    You will earn Points on all your purchases at the Earn Businesses other than the No Earn Purchases listed in paragraph 7 below.

    Once you have earned 2000 Points, that equals 10 Woolworths Dollars. This gives you $10 off a future shop at any of the stores listed in paragraph 11 below, or you can choose to convert your 10 Woolworths Dollars to 870 Qantas Points.

    So: 2000 Points = 10 Woolworths Dollars = $10 off a future shop!

    Details of how you can choose when you redeem your Points for money off your shop, and what you need to do if you would like to bank your Points for Christmas or convert your Points into Qantas Points, can be found in paragraph 10 below.

  5. Where can I earn Points?

    Woolworths Supermarkets and Woolworths Metro
    woolworths.com.au
    BWS
    bws.com.au
    BIG W
    bigw.com.au
    participating Caltex locations
    participating Caltex locations
    Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets
    other stores or businesses as we advertise from time to time,

    but excluding all stores located in Tasmania and excluding all Online deliveries for Tasmania.

    These businesses are referred to in these T&Cs as the Earn Businesses.

    For details of participating Caltex locations where you can earn Points, please see paragraph 6 below.

  6. At which Caltex locations can I earn Points?

    You can earn Points at any of the over 680 Caltex locations listed here. These Caltex locations will have Woolworths Rewards branding on the petrol forecourt and/or the roadside price pylon. This is in addition to the over 530 Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets where you can earn Points. The Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets where you can earn points are listed here.

    The difference between Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets and Caltex locations is that a Caltex Woolworths has a Woolworths store attached, whereas a Caltex location has a Star Mart, Star Shop or a Foodary attached.

  7. On what purchases will I not earn Points at the Earn Businesses?

    You will not earn Points on any money you spend on smoking products, gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, donations, purchases from woolworthsflowers.com.au or Auto-order products1, Carpet Care, lottery, Pre-order Kiosks, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, lay-by fees and purchases using a Caltex StarCard, a Country Age Pension Fuel Card or on a charge account. Additional exclusions for participating Caltex locations are: accommodation, amusement machines, deposit and insurance services, dry cleaning, fax and photocopy, hire services, laundry services, showers, FuelPay, AdBlue, freight tickets, StarCash, handset kits, maps and directories, pay phones, phone cards and accessories, Post Office accessories including postage stamps, prepaid and postpaid internet and mobile starter kits, tolls and any purchases from third party businesses operating within a Foodary, Star Mart or Star Shop (eg Guzman y Gomez or Boost Juice).

    These excluded purchases that you won’t earn Points on are referred to in these T&Cs as the No Earn Purchases.

    1Auto-order products are any products or services you purchase using the Auto-order service .

  8. At what rate will I earn Points?

    You will earn a minimum of 1 Point for every whole dollar you spend at any Earn Businesses, excluding any money spent on the No Earn Purchases (see paragraph 7 above).

    Sometimes we may also run promotions whereby you can earn bonus Points, for instance an offer to earn bonus Points on particular products, or an offer to earn bonus Points on your whole shop (excluding any No Earn Purchases and any other purchases we may stipulate in the T&Cs for that promotion). Some of these offers may be exclusive personalised offers to earn bonus Points based on your individual profile, and will be available only on your Rewards card.

    The Points you earn will be rounded up to the nearest even number of Points.

  9. How do I earn Points?

    If you are shopping in store at an Earn Business, you need to scan your Rewards card - either your physical card or a digital card - at the checkout prior to the conclusion of the transaction. If you do not scan your Rewards card at the checkout before the transaction is finalised, you will not earn Points on that shop.

    Please note that Caltex locations and Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets do not currently accept payment by digital wallet.

    If you are shopping Online at an Earn Business, you need to make sure that your Rewards card has been added to your Online account prior to completing your transaction. You will only earn Points on your Online shops after your Rewards card has been added to your Online account.

  10. How and when can I redeem my Woolworths Dollars?

    Choose how you are rewarded

    You can choose to enjoy your Woolworths Dollars in one of three ways:

    as Automatic Savings off your shop;
    on your Christmas shop when you Bank for Christmas; or
    you can convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points when you choose to Convert to Qantas Points.

    Unless you have opted into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, you will be opted into Automatic Savings.

    How do I opt into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points?

    You can opt into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points by updating your redemption settings, either by logging into your Rewards account or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    You can opt into or opt out of Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points at any time until up to 24 hours prior to the start of the next payout period for Bank for Christmas or the next payout date for Convert to Qantas Points. The Bank for Christmas payout period and Convert to Qantas Points payout dates for each year will be advertised on the Rewards Website.

    Once you have opted into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points and until you opt out of Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, all your Woolworths Dollars will be saved and will not be available for automatic redemption as Automatic Savings.

    What do I need to do to redeem my Woolworths Dollars for money off my shop?

    To redeem your Woolworths Dollars for money off your shop, you need to scan your Rewards card prior to the conclusion of your transaction when you are shopping in store at a Woolworths, BWS or BIG W. If you are shopping Online, you need to make sure that your Rewards card has been added to your Online account prior to completing your transaction.

    When can I redeem my Woolworths Dollars if I’m opted into Automatic Savings?

    If you’re opted into Automatic Savings (i.e. unless you have opted into Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points), you can choose to redeem your Woolworths Dollars as soon as you have at least $10 Woolworths Dollars in your Rewards account (i.e. 2000 Points) and you purchase goods or services in store or Online at Woolworths, BWS or BIG W of at least $10, excluding any No Earn Purchases other than gift cards, and also excluding BIG W Optical and BIG W lay-by purchases.

    In other words, in order to redeem your Woolworths Dollars for $10 off your shop (or a multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars), you must spend at least $10 (or multiple of $10) in store or Online at Woolworths, BWS or BIG W, not counting the price of any No Earn Purchases (other than gift cards) and not counting the amount you have spent at BIG W Optical or on lay-by purchases. This spend is referred to in these T&Cs as an Eligible Shop.

    You will be prompted at the in store or Online checkout to decide whether or not you want to redeem your $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars) on your first Eligible Shop after your balance hits $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars) or whether you want to keep your Woolworths Dollars savings for redemption against a future Eligible Shop.

    Note that you cannot choose to redeem only a portion of your Woolworths Dollars savings against your Eligible Shop and save the remainder for a future Eligible Shop: if you have chosen to redeem your saved Woolworths Dollars against a particular Eligible Shop, the amount which is the highest multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars in your account that is equal to or less than the amount of your Eligible Shop will be automatically deducted as money off your shop, eg if you have $20 Woolworths Dollars saved in your account and your Eligible Shop is $25, you will receive all $20 Woolworths Dollars as money off your shop.

    Woolworths Dollars can be redeemed in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars, eg $10 Woolworths Dollars, $20 Woolworths Dollars, $30 Woolworths Dollars, etc. If you do not use all of the Woolworths Dollars in your account on your next Eligible Shop (because the amount of your Eligible Shop is less than your Woolworths Dollars balance), the remaining Woolworths Dollars balance will be retained in your account for future use.

    For instance, if you have $20 Woolworths Dollars in your account and you spend $20 at Woolworths, BWS or BIG W, and of that $20 you spend $5 on No Earn Purchases other than gift cards, you will get $10 off your shopping. The balance of $10 Woolworths Dollars will remain in your account for future use.

    When can I redeem my Woolworths Dollars if I’m opted into Bank for Christmas?

    Once you have opted into Bank for Christmas and until you opt out of Bank for Christmas, all the Points you earn will be saved until the Bank for Christmas payout period.

    The Bank for Christmas payout period is the period during which your saved Woolworths Dollars will become available for redemption. The Bank for Christmas payout period is from 1 December until 31 December or as otherwise advertised on the Rewards Website in advance.

    This means that when you do your first Eligible Shop after the start of the Bank for Christmas payout period, you will have the option to receive your saved Woolworths Dollars as money off your shop. You will be prompted at the in store or online checkout to decide whether or not you want to redeem your savings on your first Eligible Shop after the start of the Bank for Christmas payout period, or whether you want to keep your savings for redemption against a future Eligible Shop during the Bank for Christmas payout period.

    Note that you cannot choose to redeem only a portion of your Woolworths Dollars savings against your Eligible Shop and save the remainder for a future Eligible Shop: if you have chosen to redeem your saved Woolworths Dollars against a particular Eligible Shop, the amount which is the highest multiple of $10 Woolworths Dollars in your account that is equal to or less than the amount of your Eligible Shop will be automatically deducted as money off your shop, eg if you have $50 Woolworths Dollars saved in your account and your Eligible Shop is $80, you will receive all $50 Woolworths Dollars as money off your shop.

    If you do not use all of your saved Woolworths Dollars on Eligible Shops before the end of the payout period, the remaining Woolworths Dollars balance will be saved for next Christmas (unless you subsequently opt out of Bank for Christmas).

    When do I get my Qantas Points if I’m opted into Convert to Qantas Points?

    Once you have opted into Convert to Qantas Points and until you opt out of Convert to Qantas Points, all the Points you earn will be saved for conversion into Qantas Points on the next payout date for Convert to Qantas Points. Your Points will be converted into Qantas Points in increments of $10 Woolworths Dollars once every quarter.

    The upcoming Convert to Qantas payout dates will be advertised on the Rewards Website in advance.

    On the next payout date for Convert to Qantas Points, the Woolworths Dollars accrued in your account will be converted into Qantas Points. You will receive at least 870 Qantas Points for every $10 Woolworths Dollars in your account. Conversion will take place in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars only. Any Points that are less than a full $10 Woolworths Dollars will remain in your account for future use (eg if you had $40 Woolworths Dollars and 400 Points, $40 Woolworths Dollars will convert into Qantas Points and 400 Points will remain in your account for future use).

    Qantas Points will be available in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 7 NSW business days of the Convert to Qantas Points payout date.

    If you are opted into either Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, you can elect to convert your Woolworths Dollars into Qantas Points without waiting for the next Convert to Qantas Points payout date by calling the Rewards Contact Centre. Your Woolworths Dollars will then convert into at least 870 Qantas Points for every $10 Woolworths Dollars in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars within 7 NSW business days of your election.

    What terms and conditions apply to converting my Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points?

    You can only select to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points if you have a current Qantas Frequent Flyer membership which you have added to your Rewards account. If your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is cancelled or removed from your Rewards account after the date on which you opted into Convert to Qantas Points, you will not be able to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points after the date of the removal or cancellation.

    If you are not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can join Qantas Frequent Flyer to enable you to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points free of charge by clicking on the Qantas link on the Rewards Website or by calling the Qantas contact centre.

    You can only add one Qantas Frequent Flyer membership to your Rewards account and your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership must be in the same name as your Rewards account.

    You can remove your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership from your Rewards account via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    You will not be able to convert Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points if: your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is not added to your Rewards account; or the details of your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership that have been added to your Rewards account are not correct; or the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership that you have added to your Rewards account is not in the same name as your Rewards account.

    The Qantas Frequent Flyer program is owned, operated and administered by Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901 ("Qantas"). You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn and redeem Qantas Points. Qantas Points can only be received in a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account.

    Qantas Frequent Flyer program membership is determined by Qantas, not Woolworths. Woolworths determines only some matters, such as the rate at which Woolworths Dollars convert into Qantas Points (and this rate will not be lower than 870 Qantas Points for $10 Woolworths Dollars).

    Only individuals may be credited with Qantas Points (that is, companies, firms, associations and other organisations are not eligible to be credited with Qantas Points).

    Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, Qantas Points (after they have been credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account), certain other benefits (including earning, crediting, redeeming and expiry of Qantas Points), the number of Qantas Points required to be redeemed for Awards (as described in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program) and changes to the number of Qantas Points required to be redeemed for Awards are all subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions ("QFF Terms"). Qantas may change the QFF Terms from time to time. For the QFF Terms and for detailed information about the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and changes to each, please see qantas.com/frequentflyer. Qantas may apply different rules to you according to whether or not you join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program without providing an email address.

    The QFF Terms include terms and conditions for earning Qantas Points on Qantas and other airlines (and other non-airline partners), redeeming points for Awards, changes to the program, cancellation of your membership and/or Qantas Points, expiry of Qantas Points, privacy related matters etc. Other terms and conditions for earning Qantas Points from other Qantas program partners, and for redemptions and Awards, also apply.

    Qantas may make decisions about the Qantas Frequent Flyer program which may affect your earning and redemption of Qantas Points and membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

    Qantas recommends that you consult a tax advisor to ensure that you understand possible tax and fringe benefits tax implications, if any, related to your membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

  11. Where can I redeem my Woolworths Dollars?

    You can redeem your Woolworths Dollars at any of the following:

    Woolworths Supermarkets and Woolworths Metro (both in store and online at woolworths.com.au)
    BWS (both in store and online at bws.com.au)
    BIG W (both in store and online at bigw.com.au),

    but excluding all stores located in Tasmania and excluding all Online deliveries for Tasmania.

    These businesses are referred to in these T&Cs as the Redemption Businesses.

    You cannot currently redeem your Woolworths Dollars at any Caltex locations or Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets.

    If you are opted into either Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points, you can elect to use your available Woolworths Dollars balance, in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars, to receive a discount on your Online purchases at woolworths.com.au, bws.com.au or bigw.com.au, simply by clicking the 'Redeem Now' button at the checkout. You cannot choose to 'Redeem Now' during the 24 hours immediately prior to the start of the next payout period for Bank for Christmas (if you are opted into Bank for Christmas) or the next payout date for Convert to Qantas Points (if you are opted into Convert to Qantas Points).

    Any Woolworths Dollars you accrue after clicking on the 'Redeem Now' button will be saved until the next payout date in accordance with your Bank for Christmas or Convert to Qantas Points redemption setting.

  12. Is there a maximum number of Woolworths Dollars that I can have in my account?

    You cannot have more than $4,500 Woolworths Dollars in your account.

    If you have opted into Bank for Christmas and you have more than 4,500 Woolworths Dollars in your account, you will be opted out of Bank for Christmas and the total Woolworths Dollars in your account will be made available for redemption (in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars) against your next Eligible Shop. Your remaining Woolworths Dollars balance will of course be retained for future use to redeem against future Eligible Shops.

    If you have opted into Convert to Qantas Points and you have more than 4,500 Woolworths Dollars in your account, the Woolworths Dollars you have accrued will (in multiples of $10 Woolworths Dollars) be automatically converted to Qantas Points and credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

  13. Will my Points expire?

    Yes, they may expire.

    Any unused Points balance of less than 2000 Points (i.e. less than $10 Woolworths Dollars) in your account may be set to expire 18 months from the date on which you last scanned your Rewards card at an Earn Business or completed an Online transaction (where your Rewards card has been added to your Online account).
    Where you have reached $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) in your account, any unused Woolworths Dollars balance of $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) may be set to expire 12 months from the date of earning the $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof).
    Where you have reached $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) on an unregistered temporary card, the unused Woolworths Dollars balance of $10 Woolworths Dollars (or multiple thereof) may be set to expire 12 months from the date on which you register your card.
  14. Where can I check my Points balance?

    You can check the Points balance in your account by logging into your Rewards account or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre, or by logging into a smartphone app or digital wallet authorised by us.

    Note: it may take up to 72 hours for any Points earned to be shown in your account, except in the case of Points earned at Caltex locations, where it could take up to 5 NSW business days for your Points to be shown in your account.

  15. Besides Points, what are other benefits I could qualify for as a Rewards member?

    You may qualify for other promotions, special benefits and exclusive offers from the Woolworths Group and selected third-party businesses which we may offer or enable as part of the Rewards program from time to time.

    These could include member-only discounts, newsletters, automatic entry into prize draw competitions and exclusive personalised offers (based on your individual profile, and available only on your Rewards card) offered by members of the Woolworths Group and selected third-party businesses.

    If at any time you do not wish to receive these offers for Member Benefits offered by any of our businesses in the Woolworths Group or a third-party business you can call the Rewards Contact Centre or click the unsubscribe link in the relevant email or text message that you have received from us.

  16. Fuel discounts

    What is a fuel discount?

    A fuel discount is an offer to receive a cents per litre discount off the standard purchase price of fuel at Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets or participating Caltex locations when you spend at least the qualifying amount in one transaction at a participating Woolworths Supermarket or Woolworths Metro.

    You can find a list of Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets where you can redeem your fuel discounts here.

    How do I qualify for a fuel discount and how and where can I redeem my fuel discounts?

    For terms and conditions relating to how you can qualify for, and how and where you can redeem your fuel discounts, please visit our website here.

    How do I store my fuel discounts on my Rewards card?

    If you qualify for a fuel discount and scan your Rewards card before the transaction is completed at the Woolworths Supermarket or Woolworths Metro checkout or if you qualify for any fuel discounts when shopping through your woolworths.com.au account which has been linked to your Rewards card, your fuel discounts will be recorded electronically on your Rewards card.

    You can store multiple fuel discounts on your Rewards card at the same time. If you have registered your Rewards card, you can check the status of the fuel discounts stored on your card by logging into your Rewards account or calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    If you want to redeem a fuel discount and you have multiple fuel discounts stored on your Rewards card, the highest value fuel discount stored on your card will be used first, followed by the oldest unexpired fuel discount.

    Can I share my fuel discounts?

    Yes, you can, if you have registered your Rewards card.

    Your registered Rewards card and up to 4 other registered Rewards cards belonging to your family or friends can be added to one combined account. You and your family or friends must nominate one Rewards card as the primary card. That primary cardholder’s account will be the combined account where all the fuel discounts will be pooled together.

    Rewards cards can be added to the primary cardholder’s Rewards account by the primary cardholder either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre. All of the fuel discounts earned on the cards of the cardholders who are part of the combined account will be credited to the combined account. Each cardholder will be able to redeem the fuel discounts credited to the combined account. Accordingly, by consenting to being added to a combined account, you consent to any of the other cardholders on the combined account redeeming any of the fuel discounts credited to the combined account.

    If you are the primary cardholder, you must please make sure, before you add any additional Rewards cards to your Rewards card, that those additional cardholders have given you and us their consent to be added to your Rewards card on the terms set out in these T&Cs.

    Please note that Points cannot be shared with the additional cardholders that have been added to a primary cardholder's account, only fuel discounts.

    What if I no longer want to be a primary cardholder or additional cardholder on a combined account?

    If you decide that you no longer want to be a primary or additional cardholder on a combined account, you can remove yourself from the combined account either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    The primary cardholder can remove other cardholders from the combined account without the other cardholders' consent.

    What happens to my fuel discounts if I remove myself as an additional primary cardholder, or if the primary cardholder removes me as an additional cardholder?

    If this happens, you will receive back onto your Rewards card all of the current fuel discounts in the combined account that you personally earned on your card. This also means that if one of the additional cardholders removes themselves from the combined account, any current fuel vouchers in the combined account which that additional cardholder personally earned on their Rewards card will be removed from the combined account.

    What happens if my Rewards card is lost or stolen?

    If you report your Rewards card as lost or stolen, you will be issued with a new card number.

    If you are an additional cardholder on a combined account, you will need to have your new card number re-linked to the combined account, either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    If you are the primary cardholder on a combined account, all previously linked cardholders will need to be re-linked to the new combined account, either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    What happens if the primary card on a combined account is deregistered or cancelled?

    If the primary card on a combined account is deregistered or cancelled, the additional cards on the combined account will not be deregistered or cancelled, but there will no longer be a combined account (as all the cards will stop being a part of the combined account).

    What if I no longer want to be a Rewards member but I still want to use my Rewards card to store and redeem fuel discounts?

    If you no longer wish to be a Rewards member but you would like to continue to use your Rewards card to store and redeem fuel discounts, you can deregister your Rewards card by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    By deregistering your Rewards card you will no longer be able to track where you have accrued and redeemed your fuel discounts, or be able to earn Points or redeem your accrued Woolworths Dollars or convert them into Qantas Points, or receive any other Member Benefits. You also won’t be able to add or be added to other registered Rewards cards to share fuel discounts on a combined account.

    Once your card has been deregistered, if it is subsequently lost or stolen, Woolworths will not be able to reissue you with any fuel discounts or Points that you earned on that card.

  17. How do I cancel my Rewards card?

    You can cancel your Rewards card either via the Rewards Website or by calling the Rewards Contact Centre. If a card is cancelled, any unused Points, fuel discounts and other Member Benefits will be automatically forfeited.

    You will stop earning Points from the date of cancellation of your card.

  18. What happens if my Rewards card is lost, stolen or damaged?

    If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, please visit the Rewards Website or call the Rewards Contact Centre.

    Woolworths may issue you with a replacement card (and new card number), but it is in our discretion not to do so.

    Where we issue you with a replacement card for a lost or stolen card that was registered, any unredeemed Points balance and fuel discounts accrued to your old (i.e. lost or stolen) registered card number will be transferred from your old card number to your new card number – and a new personalised card will be issued to you. (However if any Points balance or fuel discounts credited to your old card were redeemed before we could transfer them to your new card number, whether by you or another person, Woolworths will not reimburse you for those points or fuel discounts.)

    If your old card was not registered, any Points balance or fuel discounts accrued to the lost or stolen card number will not be transferred to your new card or replaced.

    Where your registered card has become damaged or unusable but has not been lost or stolen, any Points balance accrued on that card will remain in your same account and a new card will be issued with the same card number as your existing damaged or unusable card.

    Note that re-instatement of current Points balances or fuel discounts on lost, stolen or damaged cards is at Woolworths’ sole discretion.

  19. How will Woolworths be collecting, using and disclosing my personal information?

    Woolworths will collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Woolworths Rewards Privacy Collection Notice (Collection Notice), which forms part of these T&Cs.

    You may access the Collection Notice here, or call the Rewards Contact Centre if you would like a copy of the Collection Notice or our Privacy Policy in a different format.

    Woolworths may amend the terms of the Collection Notice from time to time in accordance with these T&Cs.

    By registering as a member, scanning your Rewards card (whether an unregistered temporary card or a registered card), using any other Membership Facility or using or attempting to earn, access or use any Member Benefits, you acknowledge that you have read the Collection Notice, and understand and agree that we will collect, use, store and disclose your personal information in accordance with its terms.

  20. What are my rights to opt in and opt out of marketing communications?

    You agree that we may send you direct marketing communications and tailored advertising via various channels and media (including by email, SMS, phone, mail, or via ads on social media) where you have not opted out (as described below) from receiving such communications and advertising via those channels or media. Your agreement will be deemed to be effective until such time as you opt out of receiving direct marketing or tailored advertising via the relevant channel or media.

    You may opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications (including opting-out of receiving such communications through certain media, or opting-out of receiving direct marketing communications via certain channels) by modifying your communication preferences on your Rewards account. In the case of certain electronic direct marketing communications (including email or SMS), you may also use the opt-out/unsubscribe facility we provide in that communication. You can also opt out by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    Tailored advertising is advertising that is specifically tailored to particular segments of Rewards members based on certain attributes, behaviours or preferences which they have in common, eg pet owner. Tailored advertising is facilitated through the use of cookies and other digital technologies. For more information, please see our Cookies Statement here.

    To opt out of receiving tailored advertising, you can go to the Your Online Choices website here, which will allow you to opt out of tailored advertising for many Australian websites.

    You can also opt out of receiving tailored advertising on the social media sites you use by changing your account settings for the relevant site. Please note that opting out of tailored advertising is device-specific. You will need to opt out of receiving tailored advertising for each device used to access online content.

    You can also block or disable cookies by adjusting the privacy settings in your web browser. If you adjust your settings to disable session and certain persistent cookies, you may find that the websites you visit have only limited functionality.

    If you have any questions about how to opt-out or unsubscribe please call the Rewards Contact Centre.

    Regardless of whether you opt out of any and/or all marketing communications, you consent to still receive service based communications relating to your membership, including changes to these T&Cs and/or our Collection Notice, the Woolworths Group Privacy Policy, account transactions or important information (for instance recall notices) relating to products or services you have purchased.

    If you wish to opt out of receiving service based communications, this will cause your Rewards membership to be terminated. You will need to call the Rewards Contact Centre to terminate your membership and you will thereafter no longer receive direct marketing communications or service based communications from Rewards.

  21. Can these T&Cs be changed or terminated?

    Yes. Woolworths may change, suspend or terminate these T&Cs or the Rewards program at any time.

    We will give advance notice of any such change, suspension or termination on our Website (or you can obtain details by calling the Rewards Contact Centre), which will allow you time to cancel your membership within the period of that advance notice, in the event that you do not wish to agree to the relevant change or suspension.

    Where we change the T&Cs, a copy of the revised T&Cs will be available on the Rewards Website or can be obtained by calling the Rewards Contact Centre.

    If you continue to use your Rewards card or any other Membership Facilities or seek to access or use any Member Benefits after the period of advance notice has expired, you will be deemed to have accepted the amended T&Cs.

  22. What are my responsibilities in relation to my membership?

    Please keep your personal details updated by updating your Rewards account or calling the Rewards Contact Centre. This is because, if you don’t keep your personal details up to date, we may not be able to provide you with your Member Benefits, and we may need to cancel your membership and Rewards card.

    It is your responsibility to keep your Rewards card and any other Membership Facilities provided to you safe and secure. Please treat your Rewards account password as your confidential information. You must take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use or access to your Rewards card, your Rewards account and information about your membership, including your account password. This includes that you must not use a password for your Rewards account which you have used for any other of your other online accounts. You acknowledge that unauthorised access to your Rewards card, account and personal information may occur if you do not take these steps.

    Any tax, liability, or duty incurred by you arising from your participation in the Rewards program is your responsibility.

  23. What restrictions apply to my membership?

    You can only have one Rewards card per person, and you can’t transfer your membership to someone else.

    Member Benefits are conditional on you purchasing normal household quantities - we reserve the right to apply purchase limits for the earning of Member Benefits.

    Member Benefits may only be earned and used for personal and household use. You may not earn or use Member Benefits for any purchases on a charge account (i.e. where payment is not due upon completion of the transaction but only 30 days or some other agreed period thereafter) or for any other commercial purpose (which includes not-for-profit association purposes).

    Other than fuel discounts as explained in paragraph 16, Member Benefits are personal to you and, unless we notify you otherwise, cannot be transferred to anyone else.

    Member Benefits cannot be exchanged or refunded except as expressly set out in these T&Cs.

    Rewards cards are issued by Woolworths and remain the property of Woolworths. Rewards cards are not credit or charge cards.

  24. What are Woolworths’ rights in relation to my membership and the Rewards program?

    We may refuse your application for membership or your request to add additional cardholders for the purpose of sharing fuel discounts for any reason.

    From time to time we may exclude certain stores or businesses from the list of Earn Businesses or from the list of Redemption Businesses. We may also add or remove items from the list of No Earn Purchases, or change the redemption rate of Woolworths Dollars. We will give you notice of the excluded stores or businesses, or of changes to the list of No Earn Purchases or redemption rate of Woolworths Dollars, on the Rewards Website.

    We may specify exclusions and conditions (for example qualifying spend and offer duration) for any Member Benefits and we may change these from time to time, including during the duration of a Member Benefit offer.

    Woolworths may reverse (i.e. debit) any Member Benefits which have been allocated (i.e. credited) to you where you have returned the goods or you have been refunded for the goods or services in respect of which those Member Benefits were earned.

    We may also reverse Member Benefits which have been allocated to you if there are any other grounds which we consider, in our reasonable discretion, justify a reversal, for instance, if the Member Benefits were allocated to you by mistake (including by reason of our error) or if you earned them by misusing an offer, or through fraudulent means.

    We reserve the right to monitor your purchase history to ensure that any Member Benefits are accumulated legitimately.

    We reserve the right at any time without notice to:

    decline to issue Rewards cards or provide any other Membership Facilities;
    withdraw or cancel any Rewards cards, other Membership Facilities or Member Benefits;
    reverse any Member Benefits, including any Woolworths Dollars or Points credited to an account;
    terminate your Rewards membership; or
    terminate the Rewards program.

    Grounds for doing any of the above include if you (or someone using your Rewards card or account details):

    abuse, misuse or attempt to abuse or misuse your membership, your card, the Rewards program, any offers for Member Benefits or anything else associated with Woolworths;
    do anything that is contrary to these T&Cs;
    fraudulently accumulate Points or other Member Benefits;
    use or attempt to use your card or Woolworths Dollars, Points or any other Member Benefits, for purchases made by a person other than you, the cardholder (or in the case of fuel discounts, by a primary or additional cardholder on the same combined account);
    engage in unacceptable conduct in connection with your membership, which will be deemed to include if Woolworths has a reasonable suspicion of conduct by you which amounts to dishonesty, fraud or wrongful conduct;
    become bankrupt or die; or
    have not scanned your card in any Earn Business or shopped Online (where your card has been added to your Online account) at any time during a continuous 18 month period.

    Any tampering with or defacing of or unauthorised use of a Rewards card will render the card invalid.

    On cancellation of your membership (including through requested cancellation of your Rewards card), we may retain your membership information for record-keeping purposes and, in de-identified form, for our general data analysis purposes. We may allocate to another member any membership identifier (including number) previously allocated to you.

    You agree that, except to the extent that these T&Cs expressly provide otherwise, we do not need to notify you in advance, or give you any reasons, with regard to any action we take concerning your membership.

  25. What is Woolworths’ liability in respect of my membership and the Rewards program?

    You acknowledge and agree that there may be:

    delay in issuing you with, or non-issue to you of, any Member Benefits;
    delay in or non-replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged Rewards card;
    acts, errors or omissions by us in the course of providing Member Benefits (including as referred to in these T&Cs);
    loss, theft or damage to any documentation in the course of the posting or delivery of that documentation to you; or
    a suspension and/or termination of the Rewards program, including the ability for members to earn Points and redeem Woolworths Dollars or to convert Woolworths Dollars into Qantas Points,

    and to the maximum extent permitted by law (and provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law), we will not be liable to you in any way for any cause in connection with such matters, including for any unused Points or Woolworths Dollars balance in your account at the time of termination.

    You agree that any comments, suggestions or recommendations you may receive from us or others as part of Member Benefits may not be suitable, accurate or complete and you must not rely on them in a way which may give rise to any loss or damage. If you intend to rely on anything in connection with the Rewards program, your reliance should be based solely on your own judgement, including as to the extent to which you should obtain or use any Member Benefits.

    Provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, any liability we may have to you in negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, and all conditions and warranties as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by Woolworths pursuant to these T&Cs, whether express or implied by statute, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law, and, where liability cannot be excluded (such as where the Australian Consumer Law applies), our liability to you will in all cases be limited to:

    the cost of re-supplying the goods or services or repairing, or paying the costs of repairing, the goods; or
    reinstating the number of Points, Woolworths Dollars, or other Member Benefits, in dispute.

    The above limitation of liability in Woolworths' favour also applies to related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)) of Woolworths.

  26. Who do I contact if I have a complaint or query?

    If you have any queries or complaints regarding the Rewards program, please contact us. You can do this by calling the Rewards Contact Centre or by contacting us via the "Contact Us" page of our Website.
